In 2006, as Gilbert was driving up the onramp to merge onto Hwy 281, he had an open vision. In this open vision Gilbert saw a blender in front of him. The blender had a green base, with a container made of glass. He then saw a hand and the hand was holding raw red meat. The hand began to stuff the raw red meat into the blender until it was filled to the top. Through the glass container, he saw the blades chopping the meat while the meat was being stuffed into the blender.
However, he saw a white liquid substance flowing out from the bottom rather than a red liquid. After a few seconds, the Lord began to tell Gilbert that He wanted him to be like this blender. He was getting ready to put Gilbert in a position where He was going to give him meat/revelation. Gilbert’s job was to grind this meat into milk so that anyone can drink of it. This milk was to contain all the nutrients of the meat, but it was just in a more consumable form. In his spirit, Gilbert knew exactly what the Lord was calling him to do. The Lord brought to Gilbert’s remembrance a prophetic word that was released over his life in 1996 by his then youth pastor Brandon Pena from Church of Acts. The prophetic word was that the Lord was giving him a prophetic and teaching anointing.
The vision of the blender, and the revelation of the Lord, confirmed the word released by Brandon Pena. It was a year later, in August of 2007 that Gilbert Gamez was led by the Spirit of the Lord to be part of the body at King of Glory of San Antonio. Since then, he has played a vital role in assisting Senior Leaders Victor & Janie Rodriguez transition into an Apostolic House with the Five-Fold Ministry serving as the infrastructure to the Apostolic Government currently in place. Gilbert serves as the Director of Education, with the goal of impacting the lives of everyone of the King of Glory community with the Gospel of the Kingdom and its reality. As previously mentioned, Gilbert carries both a prophetic and teaching anointing; which he uses to gracefully equip and edify the Body of Christ. He burns with a passion to see a generation of revivalists establish the Kingdom of God on Earth according to Matthew 6:10, “on earth, as in Heaven.”
Gilbert holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from the University of Phoenix. Possessing a creative gift and passion, Gilbert founded Vision Design, a graphic design company, in 2010. Since then he has worked with various organizations on numerous projects throughout the city of San Antonio and abroad.
Gilbert is happily married to Pamela Gamez, and together they share in the joy of raising their two sons, Jedaiah and Jamesen.
